BRIEF
MOMO was born during the pandemic as an analog experience designed to encourage people to step away from screens and reconnect with tactile details.
The goal was to create a product that is visually pleasing, giftable, and playful, offering multiple moments of engagement: observing the label, reading accompanying texts, opening the tin, and assembling a puzzle.
The project addresses the need for slowing down and appreciating touch, detail, and physical interaction, aimed at readers, game lovers, and anyone who enjoys beautiful and thoughtful gifts.
MY ROLE & CONTRIBUTION
As a personal project, I handled nearly every role: designer, illustrator, copywriter, and conceptualizer.
I researched, prototyped, designed graphics, sourced materials, tested production methods, and iterated based on feedback.
Process
1. Conducted research on small-scale production methods and similar existing projects
2. Explored and tested materials and techniques (including sublimation and tin packaging)
3. Contacted suppliers, sourced materials, and performed home-based testing
4. Designed all graphics, text, and product elements
5. Produced a small batch for friends and acquaintances to gather feedback
6. Adjusted designs and began selling to a wider audience
Tools / Materials used:
Research, prototyping at home, graphic design software, sublimation printing, tin packaging
RESULTS & IMPACT
* The project generated strong local interest, with many repeat customers
